Holder is Obama’s inner what? Salon’s pan of president infuriates

PBS' Tavis Smiley set off critics earlier today when he declared that President Obama's statement today on Trayvon Martin and racial profiling was “weak as pre-sweetened Kool-Aid.” That was just the warm-up act, though. Now, race-obsessed Salon has at last weighed in with its verdict on the president's speech, calling it “overrated and airy,” and writer Rich Benjamin reserved his praise for Eric Holder, whom he suggests is unafraid to appear as the “angry black man” in the administration.

What's another way to put it? Writes Benjamin:

Some of us have an Inner Child. Others have an Inner Nigger. Is Holder the president’s conscience? Or his Inner Nigger?

Yes, Benjamin is a black man, and Salon is as liberal as it gets. So, free pass, right?!/angrierangel/status/358401361613819905

Dear @RichBenjaminUSA and @Salon

But … President Obama has a complex double consciousness. That's a compliment, right?!/AntheaButler/status/358405764320198656!/PappySquared/status/358406050292039681

Is the popcorn ready yet?
