Women were at the vanguard of the grassroots progressive shift in 2016 and kicked off the defiance to Donald Trump with the womens march in January.
But some feel that gals arent get the same airtime as men in the movement. Thats about to change with the launching of Season of the Bitch an all-female progressive podcast.
It came about when Amber Taylor, a member of the Democratic Left-wings of America, and others were deploring the paucity of women on some leftwing podcasts.
Most of them are hosted by guys, Taylor told the Guardian. If there is a woman its often really one maid, and you dont examine her just as much through the episode.
The first occurrence is due to propel on Friday 1 September, and Season of the Bitch will guide every Friday afterwards. On the orders of the day for the podcasts entry: Were going to talk about the need for the feminist position in the politics of the left, Taylor said.
